What is EDP Vilar de Mouros Festival?
The EDP Vilar de Mouros festival is the oldest festival in the Iberian Peninsula, of great international projection, which takes place in Vilar de Mouros, near Caminha, in the North of Portugal.
Started in 1965, the Festival soon began to be undeniably called “Portuguese woodstock”, for bringing together national and international artists of reference. In fact, the event was reminiscent of the famous 1969 festival in the United States.
The Vilar de Mouros Festival attends several generations to different types of music, such as rock, fado, jazz and blues, centered mainly on artists and bands from the 80s and 90s.
The event takes place in a beautiful wooded area, next to Praia Fluvial das Azenhas, in Rio Coura, where you can also bathe.
There are certainly activities at the festival for the whole family (from the youngest to the oldest), such as a large inflatable, reading space, masseuses, hairdressers, bars and others. It also has not only an area for camping, but also an area for car parking
What happens in 2022 at Vilar de Mouros Festival? (line up)
The 2022 edition has no line up yet. The promoters are working to confirm the artists announced to the 2020 and 2021 editions.

What happened in 2019?
The 2019 edition of the Festival featured big names in international music, such as:
- DAY 1: Manic Street Preachers, Anna Calvi e The Wedding Present;
- DAY 2: Skunk Anansie, Nitzer Ebb, The House of Love e Clan of Xymox;
- 3th DAY: Profhets of Rage, Gogol Bordello, Fischer-Z e Linda Martini.
