What is Paredes de Coura Festival?
Vodafone Paredes de Coura is one of the oldest music festivals in Portugal and one of the best summer festivals in Europe (according to the American magazine Rolling Stone).
Rock music, especially alternative rock, has a regular presence at this festival.
The Festival has been held since 1993, in a natural amphitheater at Praia Fluvial do Tabuão on the banks of the Coura River, in the district of Viana do Castelo, in the north of Portugal. It is a place of great natural beauty where you can camp, as well as bathe in the river.

The 2021 edition of the Paredes de Coura Festival has been canceled. The 28th edition will take place in 2022.
What happened in 2019 at Paredes de Coura Festival?
The 2019 edition of the Festival featured big names in international music, such as:
- 1st DAY: The National, New Order, Boogarins, Parcels, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib and Nuno Lopes;
- 2nd DAY: Captain Fausto, Khruangbin, Julien Baker, Yellow Days, Acid Arab and Krystal Klear;
- 3rd DAY: Spiritualized, Father John Misty, Black Midi, Jonathan Wilson, Peaking Lights and Romare (DJ Set);
- 4th DAY: Suede, Patti Smith and Her Band, Alice Phoebe Lou, Kamaal Williams, Flohio and Mitski.
